 Remember when everything used to be an Adventure? A trip to the grocery store (in hope's of getting something sweet), a day at the beach (knowing that sand castles and boogie boarding would occur) and Saturday morning cartoons (excited that hours of colorful fun were just waiting to make us laugh). "What's up, Doc?" You tell me, Bugs. Every moment of every day held the possibility of an Adventure.
Adventure... chance, risk, opportunity and endless possibilities. There is a misconception about this word. Although an Adventure may include suitcase packing, airplane flying or rock climbing, Adventures exist all around us, every single day. We must only look, listen and learn from them. From the situations we are faced with, to the places that we visit and the people that we meet. A lesson lies buried in each one, waiting for us to uncover it, embrace it and move forward because of it. Though many Adventures require a passport, most only need our presence.
When we disconnect from our Inside Kid, the true Explorer within each of us, we tend to view life differently. We convince ourselves that childhood ends when adulthood begins; choosing routine over spontaneity and work over passion.
Travel with me and your Inside Kid, as we have an Adventure. Together, we will run (from the stresses of the world), skip (to a different beat), jump (back into our innocence) and play (as though we never stopped). Forget about the rules, regulations and limitations of your daily life and remember the adventurous, carefree Spirit that you've always been. Are you ready to let your Inside Kid... OUT?
